Young Eagles 2025 Raffle Winner

EAA
Congratulations to Sid Johnston, EAA 1614201, of Frisco, Texas, the winner of the 2025 Young Eagles Raffle and proud new owner of the 2024 Ford Bronco.

The Johnston family demonstrates the spirit of ambition, innovation, and community engagement. Led by Sid, an engineer, entrepreneur, and Michelle, a professional engineer with Peterbilt, the family shares a strong appreciation for both aviation and automotive excellence.

Beyond the tarmac, the Johnstons also share a love for cars, and that passion took center stage when Michelle encouraged Sid to enter the raffle for the Ford Bronco. Sid doubled his chances by purchasing two tickets — leading to a thrilling win.

Their story reflects a blend of heritage, enthusiasm, and bold dreams, reminding us of all the uplifting possibilities when families pursue passions together. The family’s love for aviation has drawn them to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh since 2024, deepening their connection to a vibrant community of dreamers and doers.

Their three sons also reflect the values of dedication and vision:

  • Sidney, the eldest, joined the United States Air Force in 2025, pursuing service and personal growth.
  • Kristofer brings discipline and drive to his high school wrestling team while preparing for a future in mechanical engineering.
  • Matthew, the youngest, dreams of becoming a pilot and an aeronautical engineer, inspired by his grandfather’s legacy. He began flying through the Young Eagles program in March 2023, with his first flight in a Cessna 152, and has since taken part in seven Young Eagles events throughout Texas.
