The Event

The Gathering is the EAA Aviation Foundation’s annual fundraising gala, hosted on Thursday evening of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. It is open to aviation enthusiasts and philanthropists who are passionate about supporting EAA's mission to grow participation in aviation by promoting The Spirit of Aviation™.

The semi-formal event includes a cocktail hour, plated dinner, entertainment, and silent and live auctions. Event information and tickets can be found here.

The Mission

EAA Aviation Foundation is the philanthropic arm of EAA. It works with donors who desire to inspire, motivate, and educate current and future aviators, leaders, and industry pioneers.

For more than two decades, the EAA Aviation Foundation has allocated funds from The Gathering to support vital education, safety, advocacy, and outreach programs like Young Eagles, AeroEducate, the Pilot Proficiency Center, and more.

Donors and leaders who attend The Gathering have achieved incredible fundraising heights because of their generosity and unwavering commitment to aviation and youth. They are dynamic, energetic believers in the power of “we.”

Be a Part of The Gathering

The EAA Aviation Foundation offers multiple opportunities for organizations to participate in The Gathering event and promote their brand, services, and solutions to aviation’s leaders and innovators. Packages include recognition and acknowledgments in print, online, and/or social media, as appropriate.

Sponsorships

Promote your brand to a distinguished audience of C-suite executives and innovators by sponsoring the event's many technical, print, culinary, beverage, auction, and entertainment needs. Silent Auction Donations

Promote your products and services by donating to our silent auction. Held during The Gathering reception, guests browse and bid online to win. The silent auction is also open to the general public and promoted in print, digital, and social channels.

Silent auction lots vary in size and value, ranging from $100 to $10,000. Past lots have included electric scooters, Breitling watches, framed artwork, Lincoln TIG welders, overnight stays, and VIP experiences.

Live Auction Donations

After an elegant meal, energy fills the air as the auctioneer engages the crowd in a live auction of unique experiences and items. Each is showcased on the big screen while the auctioneer keeps the excitement alive, encouraging attendees to raise their bid paddles.

Live auction packages have included exclusive once-in-a-lifetime experiences with famous aviators, one-of-a-kind vehicles, and globe-trotting VIP vacation experiences. Historically, these packages raise more than $10,000 per lot.
