- What is EAA's privacy policy?
In addition to this basic information, we request your email address, so that we may send you a confirmation of your purchase. This also helps to ensure your security and validate your identity. Remember, this email provides your transaction ID and PIN. View our full data privacy policy.
- How do I redeem this ticket?
When you arrive at AirVenture, have your printed or digital ticket with you. You can exchange your printed or digital tickets for a wristband at any admissions window, and may then enter the site wearing your wristband. No need to stop at admissions each day! You may exchange all of your printed tickets for wristbands at once — the first time you arrive at admissions. The ticket will be scanned to verify the information, so it cannot be used more than one time. You will then be given the appropriate wristband(s) that permit entry to the grounds.
If you opted to receive your physical wristband(s) in the mail prior to the event, upon arrival, you will be able to skip the lines at the gate, show your wristband at the security checkpoint and head straight to the flightline.
If you purchased your tickets with Express Arrival shipping, packages will begin mailing June 25, 2025.
- Can I redeem all my daily tickets at one time?
Yes! No need to stop at admissions each day. You may exchange all of your tickets at once — the first time you arrive at admissions.
- What time do the gates open?
The gates open each day at 7 a.m.
- What can I bring into the grounds with me?

- What benefits are available for EAA members at AirVenture?
The first benefit is the ticket in your hand; EAA members receive the lowest admission rates for themselves, their families, and their guests. In addition, EAA members also receive a variety of benefits while onsite, including discounts on food and merchandise, as well as other opportunities not available to the general public.
- What do I do if there's severe weather?
In the event of a Weather Emergency, Winnebago County emergency sirens will activate. At this point, it will be determined if the Event, or portions of the Event, should be postponed or cancelled and the grounds should be Evacuated – this will be a joint decision made by EAA Senior Leadership, on-site NOAA/NWS meteorologists, the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department, and Winnebago County Emergency Management.
Visit our Weather page for additional information including maps to the nearest shelters and evacuation procedures

You can join EAA and once you complete the process, use the membership number provided in the confirmation email to purchase at the member rate. You may also select the nonmember admission but then follow and accept the prompt that asks if you would like to join.

- Why buy advance purchase camping?
When you purchase camping at least 24 hours in advance, you can anticipate an expedited registration process. Upon arrival at Camp Scholler, you will be directed to dedicated windows to obtain your camping credentials.
Members have the option to take advantage of express camping check-in. Campers arriving between Wednesday, July 16, and Sunday, July 20, will have the opportunity to participate in Camp Scholler Express Arrival camping check-in. Express Arrival camping check-in will allow you to enter the campground through the Gray Lot with a scan of your bar-coded ticket, and head to your campsite. Look for directional signage when you arrive. This is the safest and quickest way to enter Camp Scholler!
- Why is advance purchase camping only available for drive-in camping in Camp Scholler?
The primary reason is that while aircraft camping is normally available there are times when space is limited at Wittman Regional Airport. We simply cannot guarantee availability and do not want to sell camping that might not be able to be used. Drive-in camping is always available and does not have the potential for this to occur.
- I've never camped at AirVenture, how does camping work?
Basic Camping: The price of your camping is based on the day you arrive. You pay upfront for camping through the end of the event (Sunday, July 27). When you leave, simply stop at the main camping gate and you will receive a refund for an early departure after a three-night minimum is applied. Check out time each day is noon. You are not reserving any specific space. Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you see an area marked with rope, tape, flags etc. it is likely already occupied by another camper.
Each campsite is approximately 20-by-30-feet in size and you may have one tent/camper and one vehicle on each campsite.
Parking for any additional vehicles (in lot S at Camp Scholler West Gate) is not available in advance, but may be purchased at the main camping gate when you arrive.
Improved Camping: A limited number of campsites with hookups for your RV are available. Like dry camping, an improved camping site must have a paid credential to be secured.
Improved sites go on sale Monday, June 30, and payment will be calculated from the day an EAA member secures a site for each day of camping through Sunday, July 27. Campers must pay from the day they secure the site through the end of the show; no reservations for a future arrival date are taken. Unlike camping credentials for unimproved (dry camping) sites, there are no refunds for unused days on improved sites. Unlike dry camping, members choose a specific site when they secure their improved camping site.
30 and 50 amp hookups on all improved sites. Purchase improved camping on June 30 or after. There is no need to purchase basic camping to secure an improved site.
- What if I arrive after hours?
You will be greeted by a member of our security team, they will ask that you leave your driver’s license with them, proceed to the campground to find a site, and return to the camper registration building in the morning to complete the check-in process and collect your license.
- When I buy advance purchase camping for a specific arrival date — what happens if I arrive on a different day?
When you purchase a specific arrival date, it becomes the first day that you are eligible to stay in Camp Scholler. Unused camping days due to arriving later than the purchased arrival date will not be refunded but will be applied to the three-day minimum. If you arrive earlier, you will be able to check-in at the Camper Registration building and pay the difference. This will only be available at the Camper Registration building.
- Is advance purchase camping nonrefundable like advance purchase admission tickets?
Unlike admission tickets, advance purchase basic camping is refundable if you are not able to attend. Refunds will be provided, less a three-night minimum charge ($108). If you are unable to attend, send your ticket information to:

- What if it rains and the daily air show is canceled?
While the daily afternoon air show is a highlight of AirVenture, the event encompasses much more than the three-hour air show each afternoon. With hundreds of indoor exhibitors, thousands of unique aircraft, the EAA Aviation Museum, and hundreds of forums and activities for all ages each day, AirVenture continues rain or shine. In case of severe weather that forces evacuation of the grounds prior to the air show, the usual AirVenture refund policy will apply.
