Mission 2.5 — Reach 2.5 Million Young Eagles Flown by AirVenture 2026
By EAA Staff
EAA is approaching another major milestone within the EAA Young Eagles program — 2.5 million Young Eagles flown!
During AirVenture 2025, we began talking about our goal to reach 2.5 million Young Eagles flown by EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026. At that time, we were a little more than 60,000 flights away. When we celebrated the 30th anniversary of Young Eagles in 2022 and 2023, we flew nearly 63,000 Young Eagles, so I know that this goal is attainable! Let’s face it, if anyone is up for a challenge, it is our dedicated Young Eagles volunteer base.
So how do we get there? EAA is challenging every Young Eagles volunteer pilot to fly 25 Young Eagles from October 1, 2025, through July 31, 2026. Any pilot that rises to the challenge and flies 25 Young Eagles or more will be issued a limited-edition commemorative hat. Pilots will be able to track their progress via EAA’s website, as well as keep up with their fellow pilot’s progress.
In addition to this pilot challenge, EAA will be rolling out and announcing new elements to Mission 2.5 throughout the next few months.
Now is your chance to say you played a role in history — I hope you join us!
