FAA Officials at Oshkosh for Recreational Aviation Summit
On Tuesday and Wednesday, EAA welcomed FAA officials to the EAA Aviation Center, where our senior leaders and advocacy team spent two days discussing major issues relating to safety in recreational aviation. During the sessions in the EAA Education Center, a full agenda of topics such as the safety benefits of expanding sport pilot, light-sport aircraft, legacy fleet support, and more were covered.
This annual session, along with AirVenture, gives EAA opportunities for face-to-face interaction with many FAA agencies, outside of ongoing meetings and discussions that occur regularly. This session also gave everyone involved action plans that will receive follow-up during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2025. We are appreciative that these FAA officials make the effort to hold this important get-together to advance recreational aviation.
