For 25 years, SportAir Workshops have provided aircraft homebuilders with technical instruction and hands-on projects that build confidence and skills, helping them get their homebuilt kits out of the hangar and into the skies. Classes are offered year-round across the United States for two days over a weekend, typically from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Each workshop includes workbooks, personal protective equipment (PPE), and all tools and materials necessary to complete projects.
Workshop classes include Sheet Metal Basics, Fabric Covering, Electrical Systems and Avionics, TIG Welding, Fiberglass Techniques for RV Aircraft, and Gas Welding. Click on the icon below to learn more about the class.
Registration is limited to 16 students to ensure personalized training, correction, and attention. EAA’s experienced instructors provide a safe and supportive environment in which homebuilders learn how to use relevant tools, materials, and chemicals proficiently. Participants engage in targeted skills-building projects that develop the abilities necessary to complete an aircraft build.
