FAA GA Survey Underway
The FAA and its contractor TetraTech are again sending activity surveys to a cross-section of GA pilots and owners. The first mail surveys will be sent to sampled aircraft owners this month following the FAA’s approval of the survey package. Individual owners/operators have had access to the online 47th annual 2024 General Aviation and Part 135 Activity Survey for several weeks, but TetraTech was unable to mail surveys to this group until the FAA had approved the survey package and had to hold off on reaching out to owners/operators of multiple aircraft until this week.
The following mailing dates for the first round of mail surveys:
- Individual aircraft owners: Thursday, April 10
- Owners/operators of multiple aircraft: Friday, April 11
In addition, telephone interviewers will begin reaching out to large fleets to offer assistance in completing the survey the week of April 14 and will continue conducting reach-outs throughout the survey period to maximize participation. Participation in the survey is important to assist the FAA in accurately measuring the size and activity level of the nation’s GA fleet.
