The Great Debate?

I’ve personally received three emails from people who said they are definitely not attending AirVenture this year because of the climate around travel to the U.S. The newsletter goes out to thousands of subscribers, so three isn’t bad. I expect many more are in a holding pattern, but EAA is committed to an apolitical position, and so is your Canadian Council. We’ll be there as usual. We don’t have to wear masks or do anything other than help to make it a fantastic experience for those who come. As our chairperson Raquel said, please let Phillip Johnson know if you intend to join the Canadian group camping by May 20.
There are some fabulous articles on several topics in this issue which I hope you find as interesting as I did as I edited them. I used to thank each of our authors by name in my editorial, but I decided that it’s better to keep my editorial short and let their articles speak for themselves. So collectively, a huge thanks to all this month.
If you are considering writing an article for publication in Bits and Pieces, please read the guidelines shared in this month’s issue. There is some important information.
As always, please don't hesitate to contact me, Ian Brown, newsletter.EAACC@gmail.com, and thank you to those who did. Also a very special thanks to those who reached out with suggestions on how to make AirVenture a better experience for Canadians. I've passed on your much appreciated ideas.
I look forward to meeting you at our Sunday night get-together at the campground in Oshkosh.
