Guest speakers and hands-on activities highlight remainder of 2025 EAA Aviation Museum event schedule

EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wisconsin — (August 28, 2025) — The EAA Aviation Museum will close out 2025 with a packed schedule of events featuring guest speakers, and hands-on activities for all ages.

Speaker Series rounds out 2025 with three significant speakers from different sectors of aviation:

  • September 11 will be the annual 9/11 remembrance presentation. David Norman, a New York City Police Officer who served as a first responder that day, will share his experience.
  • Scott Biggs will be presenting on the Boeing E-4 on October 16. Known as the “Doomsday plane” the E-4 is an airborne command post which carries a series of strategists and communications aides to ensure peace.
  • Tyler Shaver, director of operations at the Combat Readiness Training Center, Volk Field Air National Guard Base, will be the final speaker of the year on November 20. Shaver will share an in-depth look at the F-35, one of the newest and stealthiest aircraft in the U.S. inventory.

Speaker Series events are free to attend for EAA Members and $5 for non-members.

Space Day returns on Saturday, October 25. Kids and adults of all ages can channel their inner astronaut with space-themed activities across the museum. The day’s events will be capped off with a presentation from a guest speaker who will be announced at a later date. EAA’s Ford Tri-Motor will also be giving flights out of Pioneer Airport from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All museum activities are included with admission, with EAA members being admitted for free. Ford Tri-Motor tickets can be purchased on the EAA website.

Christmas in the Air is back on Saturday, December 6. The free open house event gives the community the opportunity to explore the holiday decorations across the museum. Visitors can also enjoy a wide variety of activities including writing letters to Santa and performances from local dance, music, and choral groups. Santa will also arrive by helicopter at noon to visit with all the children. Families will be able to take photos at several staged areas throughout the museum.

The annual Wright Brothers Memorial Banquet on Friday, December 12, honors the spirit and achievements of Wilbur and Orville Wright. The event includes a full-service dinner followed by a presentation from a special keynote speaker. This year’s speaker will be announced when finalized.
