New Youth Program Offerings for Chapters
As EAA continues to expand its resources and programs to help your chapter further inspire the next generation of aviators, we’re thrilled to share two new opportunities that will enhance your chapter’s impact!
Introducing the AeroEducate Aviation Handbook
We are thrilled to unveil this brand-new resource: a fun and educational activity booklet designed as a post-Young Eagles flight takeaway. Packed with engaging aviation-themed activities, this dynamic handout introduces young participants to fundamental aviation concepts, EAA’s youth programs, career exploration opportunities, and an invitation to join AeroEducate. This takeaway is intended to be the partner piece to the Young Eagles logbook after every flight.
Best of all, your chapter can order copies at no cost when requesting Young Eagles rally supplies. Be sure to secure your copies today at EAA.org/OrderSupplies.
New Chapter Role: Youth Program Coordinator
As more chapters expand their youth aviation initiatives, EAA has created the Youth Program Coordinator role to recognize and support volunteers leading these youth programs beyond Young Eagles flights and rallies. This role is flexible and can be tailored to fit your chapter’s specific needs.
For example, a chapter youth program coordinator may oversee:
- Young Eagles Workshops and aviation day camps
- Young Eagles Build and Fly RC model program
- EAA AeroEducate activities
- Chapter teen build aircraft projects
EAA will be hosting a special training session on Saturday, July 26, at 10 a.m. at the EAA Education Center. Following the Chapter Leaders Breakfast that morning, this will be the perfect way to wrap up your week at AirVenture. You can register for this event here >.
Thank you for your passion and dedication to inspiring and educating future aviators.
