Returning to AirVenture, chapters have an affordable opportunity to establish a “beachhead” to base their activities. Rather than paying by the day, a group campsite is staked out early and until the convention ends. Chapters can purchase two to six campsites in advance at a flat rate to establish a chapter base of operations. No need to travel to Oshkosh early to stake out your chapter group camping area when participating in the Chapter Camping program.
Chapter Camping Closes on June 13th at 5 p.m. All payments must be made prior to this date. All changes must also be made prior to this date.
Read all program policies below due to changes implemented in 2025
Chapter Benefits
- Reserve two to six campsites in a group for your chapter members
- Complimentary early stake-out by EAA staff and volunteers
- Occupy your chapter camp campsites as early as July 12, 2025.
- Up to nine days of free camping beginning July 12, 2025.
The following guidelines apply to this special opportunity:
- Chapters can secure two to six (general camping) campsites in advance for up to 16 days of camping through the end of AirVenture. Note – Update in 2026: Chapters will require a minimum of three campsites and a maximum of six campsites to participate in the program.
- The cost to participate in Chapter Camping is $351 per site for 2025. Credit Card payment instructions will be provided upon online registration. Full payment must be received by 5:00 pm, June 13. Additional sites may be acquired under the usual camping rules and pricing via EAA Camp Scholler registration process.
- Chapter Stake-Out order is dependent on a “first paid in full, first stake-out” policy. Changes to the chapter camping participant names after payment will result in a re-order of stake-out priority.
- Have all chapter group camping participants known including camping unit type and size at the time of registration between March 3 and June 13, 2025. All chapter group camping participants must be a member of the participating EAA chapter and an EAA national member. You will be required to provide EAA member numbers at time of registration. Each EAA member number provided must be accurately entered and not expired through the end of EAA AirVenture.
- Chapter members who have earned complimentary camping may ask to be attached to their group camp via emailing a request to: chapters@eaa.org by June 13, 2025. EAA staff and volunteers will stake-out on behalf of the complimentary camper. These requests must come from the individual, not the chapter. Extending the group camp size may result in the chapter group camp being located to an appropriate area to accommodate the required camp size.
- Upon registration, chapters can request a camping location using street number intersections. i.e.: Lindbergh and 10 street. Please do not request “same as last year”.
- EAA staff and volunteers will stake out the chapter campsites beginning on or around July 8, 2025. Participating chapters will be notified by email of their final campsite location on or around July 10, 2025. Chapters may occupy the group camping site as early as July 12 (no sooner).
- The Chapter Camping program is for chapter members. All chapter group camping participants must be a member of the participating EAA chapter and an EAA national member.
- The offer excludes improved sites (water and electric), sites in Paul’s Woods, 101 Woods, handicap, and generator areas. If a “tent only” site is designated, only chapter group tenting is permitted in these areas. Note – Camp Scholler is always changing in site type layout, facilities, roads, and infrastructure.
- Chapter camping is only available at Camp Scholler, aircraft camping is excluded from this offer.
- No refunds due to early departure are allowed for these campsites.
- Chapters must comply with the policies and guidelines stated in EAA’s current camping guidelines. Chapters and chapter members participating may not sublease, sell, or give away campsites and camp space. Failure to comply with EAA program policies can result in, at minimum loss of participation privileges.
- The chapter leader or chapter designee will manage all chapter camping credentials. A chapter designee for each chapter will arrive first and pick up the camping credentials for all chapter campers and be available to distribute them to their respective campers as they arrive. The chapter designee checking in the chapter must be prepared to prove their identity to match to the name on the chapter credential package.
Due to the campground already being open for one to two weeks prior to Chapter Group Camping stake-out day, with many sites already occupied in highly desired areas, chapter campsites will be staked out as close as possible to the desired location listed by the chapter. Chapters may suggest a location of preference for their group camp site during the Chapter Group Camping registration process. The group camping stake out order will be based on date of full payment (this includes multiple chapters camping together) and compliance with program policies. Chapters may request a group camp site location in any “general camping” area excluding “Paul’s Woods” and the “101 Woods”. Refer to Camp Scholler Map below.
