EAA statement on confirmation of Sean Duffy as U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary
“EAA looks forward to working with Secretary Duffy on matters important to the general aviation community,” said Jack J. Pelton, EAA’s CEO and Chairman of the Board. “General aviation is in its safest period in history amid renewed growth, and we look forward to continuing this progress with the new administration. We hope that Secretary Duffy’s swift nomination and confirmation is followed by that of a new FAA Administrator in the near future.”
Secretary Duffy previously served Wisconsin’s 7th District in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2011 to 2019, during which he worked on a number of infrastructure and transportation policies. During his confirmation hearing, Secretary Duffy spoke of balancing safety, innovation, and cutting-edge technology, which are priorities shared by EAA members.
