EAA AirVenture 2024 Runway 5K benefits Father Carr’s Place 2B in Oshkosh
EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wisconsin — (November 26, 2024) — The popular Runway 5K run/walk hosted by EAA during the annual EAA AirVenture Oshkosh fly-in convention is this year benefiting Father Carr’s Place 2B, as the Oshkosh-based community center received more than $8,500 in proceeds from the event.
The Runway 5K, traditionally held on the final Saturday of AirVenture each year, brings together local residents and fly-in attendees in a fun run/walk through the grounds of Wittman Regional Airport. Each year EAA designates a local organization to receive the proceeds from the event to further benefit the community.
On November 25, EAA officials presented a check for $8,570 to Jim Boehm of Father Carr’s Place to support its mission of providing housing, food, health care, educational programs, and volunteer opportunities.
Next year’s Runway 5K is currently scheduled for Saturday, July 26, during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2025, which is July 21-27.
