EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wisconsin — (March 27, 2025) — As the calendar turns to spring, the EAA Aviation Museum will feature several guest speakers and museum attractions for kids of all ages. Most events are included with regular museum admission, while EAA members can always attend free of charge.

The museum’s monthly Speaker Series events continue into spring featuring a lineup of unique speakers across different sectors of aviation.

  • April 17: Olga Custodio, the first Latina U.S. Air Force Pilot, will share her experiences flying supersonic jets as well as commercial airliners.
  • May 22: U.S. Army helicopter pilot Dick Hanusa will share stories of flying the UH-1 Huey and more during the Vietnam War.
  • June 19: Doug Rozendaal will speak about his career and many adventures flying warbirds and vintage aircraft.

All Speaker Series events begin at 7 p.m. and are free to attend for EAA members or $5 for nonmembers. Speaker Series is sponsored by Alro Steel & Plastics, C.E. Doyle, Capital Credit Union, Community First Credit Union, Kwik Trip, Pilotsmith, Sargento, and The Taqueria.

Story Time continues with a full slate of themes and activities. Taking place on select Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Story Time has children ages 3-5 explore aviation-related topics through a story read aloud by one of EAA’s educators and an accompanying activity. The next event is scheduled for April 10 with a theme of engineering and a pinwheel activity. Story Time is included with regular museum admission, with children 5 and under being admitted for free.

Daily operations at Pioneer Airport will begin on Memorial Day, May 26. Museum visitors can take a short tram ride from the museum to Pioneer Airport, a unique “living history” re-creation of what airports were like during the early days of air travel. More than 50 vintage airplanes are on display representing seven decades of history. Pioneer Airport will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Labor Day, September 1.

More information about upcoming museum events can be found at EAA.org/Museum.
