Joe is the President of EAA Chapter 302 in Conroe, Tx. He is an active Technical Advisor, Flight Advisor and Young Eagles pilot. Joe built his first aircraft, an RV-8, in 1998 and has assisted many of his Chapters members on their projects. Since retirement from a 25 year Air Force and 37 year airline career he has lead a mentor team in the building of 2 RV-12's at Montgomery High School. So far, 96 students have participated in the Eagles Nest builds. Another RV-12 is in the wings for the next school year. He is also building a personal RV-10 for he and his wife's travels. His area of interest for the council is an expansion of youth oriented activities and providing a continuing education process for Technical and Flight advisors.
