Museum Photography Policy

EAA is proud to share a unique collection of aircraft and exhibits with EAA Members and Museum Guests. While personal use photography is encouraged, it must be conducted without disruption to Museum operations or visitors and with safety in mind. Guests may not touch, sit or stand, on any aircraft, displays or exhibits or cross barriers around the museum displays at any time to take photographs.

Personal Use Photography

Personal, amateur photography is permitted in the museum and at Pioneer Airport with paid admission. This includes cell phones, handheld cameras and video cameras. Those photos may be used on personal social media pages, blogs, etc. The images may not be sold, loaned, leased or used for any commercial or promotional purpose.

NOTE: Flash photography may be prohibited at some exhibits and displays, for preservation purposes.

News Media

Members of the media must be escorted by a member of the EAA Communications Department at all times or have permission from that department to shoot independently. All organized photo shoots inside the Museum and on EAA grounds, for news coverage, school projects, tourism programs, require an escort from that department. Call (920) 426-6523 to schedule your visit to ensure a staff member is available. Unscheduled photo shoots that cannot be staffed will be declined.

Commercial Shoots

Photo shoots for commercial purposes (advertising, music videos, training videos, etc.) must be approved and scheduled in advance by the EAA Communications Department. A signed location agreement must be completed prior to any shoot and a fee may be charged for use of facilities and staff time.

Wedding and Portrait Photography

Outdoor photo shoots on the Museum grounds are limited to wedding parties that have rented EAA facilities for their wedding event. Portrait photography is limited to the Museum. Individuals or groups using the EAA facilities and grounds for photo shoots without prior authorization will be asked to leave the EAA premises.

Indoor portrait photography is allowed in the Museum with a prearranged escort. All participating parties must pay Museum admission. Call the Museum Department at (920) 426-4815 to schedule your visit to ensure a staff member is available. Unscheduled photo shoots that cannot be staffed will be declined.
