The last EAA Aviation Museum Speaker Series presentation of 2024 will feature Skip Holm, who will discuss his amazing military career and flying in combat, the air races that he participated in, and setting various world speed records.
On January 4, 1989, two American F-14 Tomcats engaged two Libyan MiG-23s over the Gulf of Sidra. As one of the F-14 Tomcat pilots involved that days, Hermon C. Cook, callsign “Munster,”, who claimed one of the victories, and he will join us to talk about this event from a firsthand perspective.
U.S. Naval Aviator Capt. Richard Koehler joins us to walk through his experiences of flying the A-6 Intruder over Vietnam. The A-6 Intruder was a Navy attack aircraft that was flown from the Vietnam War through the Gulf War.
Anita Mack made history when she served on the first all-women crew aboard a C-130 in combat. She will discuss her experiences serving in such a historic crew.
