The EAA Aviation Museum and headquarters will be closed on Friday, January 23, because of the weather. The EAA Aviation Museum will also be closed on Saturday, January 24.
The EAA website will be offline for scheduled maintenance on Friday, January 23, 2026, starting at 9:30 p.m. (CST). We expect the site to be unavailable for several hours. This includes all services such as membership login, renewals, shopping, and AirVenture ticketing. We appreciate your patience as we improve our systems.

Celebrate the holidays with EAA’s annual Christmas in the Air, a FREE community and family event for all ages, at the EAA Aviation Museum!

Explore the museum and enjoy all the holiday decorations throughout the exhibits. Enjoy a wide variety of holiday activities:

  • Write letters to Santa
  • Visit the Sweet Shoppe for cookies, cupcakes, and milk
  • Local dance, music, and choral performance groups around the museum

Amidst all the fun, do not miss the arrival of Santa Claus as he flies in by helicopter at noon to visit with all the children! Have your picture taken with Santa or take your own family photos in staged areas throughout the museum.

Donations of unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots or non-perishable food goods for Father Carr’s Place are greatly appreciated. All events and museum admission are free from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
