Experience homeschool away from home at the EAA Aviation Museum. Explore our collection of more than 200 historic aircraft and engage in hands-on learning. Registration is required 24 hours prior to the event.

      September – Intro to FlightLearn about the basics of flight and get hands-on with interactive activities, including building your own glider.

      October – SpaceWhat makes a successful rocket launch? Celebrate Space Month at the EAA Aviation Museum by building and launching your own rocket. Note: Rocket launches will occur off EAA property due to flight restrictions near the airport. Parents/Guardians will be responsible for transportation to the rocket launch location.

      November – CodingWhat’s the connection between coding and aviation? Discover it at this month’s session, where you’ll get hands-on experience writing your own code.

      January – Types of AircraftFrom drones to blimps—come explore different types of aircraft and take the controls yourself! 
- 
      February – CommunicationHow do pilots communicate? Tour the Oshkosh Air Traffic Control Tower and discover how pilots use radios, radar, and other methods to communicate (subject to change due to tower availability).

      March – FabricationHow do you build an airplane? Peek into aircraft fabrication by learning to rivet, and so much more! 
- 
      April – PilotingWhat does it take to be a pilot? Spend your afternoon as a pilot learning how to control an aircraft! 
- 
      May – Take Flight!Wrap up your aviation year by taking an unforgettable flight and playing some fun aviation-themed games. Young Eagles flights will be available for students ages 8 to 17 (weather permitting). Registration for this event is free and will open in early April.
